How to find a winning product in Dropshipping?

To find a winning product, several strategies are interesting to test, we will see one of the most common in detail.

This strategy consists in finding Dropshipping products that are currently selling very well on the internet: trendy products. To find a trendy product, we are going to identify the ads that promote these products, that is to say, the ads that are recent and that count a maximum of interactions.

Now let's simulate the search for a trendy product with Minea's Facebook Adspy. At the time of writing, it is April 20, 2021.

By default, ads are sorted by "last seen date". In other words, ads that were last seen on Facebook.

Although some of these ads meet our objective: to find ads that promote trendy products, we want to refine our search and identify a multitude of ads dedicated to Dropshipping. To do this we need to search the Minea database.

We can first click on the "Advanced Settings" button:

By clicking on "Advanced Settings", the number of available filters increases. We can now perform ultra-precise searches among several tens of millions of ads.

Date of creation of the ads

First, to find trendy products, we need to filter recent ads. The ad's "creation date" filter allows us to select a time interval between two dates.

For example, we can look at ads that are less than 20 days old. It is 04/2021, so we can select a range from 04/01/2020 to today:

The call to action (CTA)

Next, we can define the CTA, the call to action present on the ad. Generally, ads dedicated to dropshipping products use "Shop Now". Other interesting calls to action are "Get Offer", or "Apply Now". In fact, many Dropshippers use a promotional strategy to generate urgency in the prospect (potential customer). To do this, they don't hesitate to indicate promotions of 50% off and this type of CTA.

Most Dropshipping stores have been designed and developed with the Shopify CMS (content management system). For this example, we will target the most popular e-commerce platforms:

The format of the ad

We can filter only the video format ads, these are very used for Dropshipping ads. Indeed, this format is very popular and is very adapted on Facebook to capture the attention of users.

Target country and native language of the ad

For a more detailed search, we can filter the countries that the advertiser has targeted when creating their ad on Facebook. We can also select the native language of the ad:

Sorting the search

Finally, we can sort all the search results by clicking on the drop-down list on the right. For example, we can sort by number of likes, comments, shares, etc. By sorting by shares, all the ads that have the most shares will be in the top search results.

Now, we have targeted ads promoting Dropshipping's trendy products that are selling by the thousands right now. We can then wander through the search results to find our next Winner!

Remark:

We could have done the opposite, i.e., filter by number of reactions (number of likes, comments, I love, etc.) and sort by post creation date. In this example, all posts with more than 10,000 likes will be sorted by date of creation: from the most recent to the oldest post.
